Morbid Metal shows its cutting edge gameplay

Morbid Metal made an appearance during the Future Games Show to show off new gameplay footage for this beat them all rogue lite developed by a single person, a German named Felix Schade.

It’s Morbid Metal Time! (sorry, we had no choice)

The developer mentions as influences Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and NieR Automata which can therefore give you a good idea of what you can expect in terms of gameplay.

And we can add the particularity of the protagonist who is a shapeshifter and can therefore become four different characters who each have their own moveset and their own weapon, the changes can be made in full combo.

The rogue-like side will come from “half” procedurally generated levels. We will therefore have a system of runs but the improvements of the characters will be kept from one game to another. The game uses the Unity engine but does not yet have a release window.

See you one day on PC for the launch of Morbid Metal which already has a Steam page.
