Gabriel Riva (Joakim Latzko) has been in turmoil for several weeks. After receiving a medal from the city for his action and his courage during the Blackout, the Mistral’s leading doctor saw his destiny turned upside down by a medical error.

In a seemingly benign operation, he had removed the wrong organ from one of his patients, forcing Dr. Vidal (Simon Ehrlacher) to carry out an emergency operation in order to save her life. The doctor was then suspended from duty.

In order to restore his image, Céline had suggested that he do an internship as a stretcher-bearer. An experience that allowed Gabriel to question himself, and especially to review his behavior towards other hospital employees.

But in the episode of Plus belle la vie broadcast this Tuesday, the doctor discovered that he had actually been trapped by Anthony, a stretcher-bearer who does not carry the surgeon in his heart. Unfortunately, after this discovery, Gabriel Riva fails to convince the council doctors of his innocence. He will have to find evidence to clear his name.

He will then convince Cédric, his former internship tutor, to help him in his mission. While the latter distracts Anthony, Gabriel searches the stretcher-bearer’s vehicle in which he finds his laptop. It then recovers certain files on a USB key.

He then finds Thomas, Céline and Cédric to find out what the documents contain. They finally discover the truth: Anthony falsified the operating protocol. He hacked into the secretary’s computer in order to steal the original document and modify it, without the medical secretary noticing. Gabriel Riva has finally found proof of his innocence.

In an extract from the episode of Plus belle la vie this Friday, posted on the France Télévisions site, Gabriel decides to confront Anthony. On the defensive, the stretcher-bearer threatens to hit Gabriel. Luckily, Eric, who was warned of the meeting by Thomas, intervenes and stops the young man before it goes too far.

They then take Anthony to the police station. There, he confesses everything and explains that he falsified the documents to get revenge on the doctor who spent his time belittling him and his colleagues. Dr. Riva’s nightmare is finally over.

Will this trying experience have positive consequences for Gabriel? Will he be able to continue to practice his profession? Answer in the next episodes of Plus belle la vie, available in preview on Salto.
