More beautiful life: rebound in the Kjel Bennett affair, he files a complaint

Kjel Bennett, ousted from Plus belle la vie following unacceptable behavior, spoke on Tuesday July 12 on his Instagram account. The actor announced that he had filed a complaint.

Launched on the antenna of France 3 for the first time in 2004, the series More beautiful life will soon come to an end, after 18 years of good and loyal service. It was the management of France Télévisions which took the decision to stop its broadcast following the fall in its audiences in recent years. If the cast meets for a special episode, broadcast next November, Kjel Bennett will not be present. On May 31, it was announced that he had been ousted from the series due to “repeated unacceptable behaviors“. A news that quickly made the rounds and the actor came out of silence, through his lawyers, this Tuesday, July 12. In a press release published on his Instagram account, he wished to reestablish his truth. “It is unfortunate that he is the subject of rumors for alleged ‘unacceptable behaviour’ with implicit innuendos that have serious consequences for his reputation“, can we first read. “Kjel Bennett strongly contests any act committed against anyone and which could take on a reprehensible criminal characterization”, is it then indicated before the lawyers specify:The absence of a complaint against him is sufficient to demonstrate the lack of foundation and the intention to harm of those who publicly accuse without acting in coherence with their denunciation.“.

In this press release, Kjel Bennett’s lawyers had every intention of defending their client. “They base their statements on unreliable ‘sources’ with less than noble motives: jealousy and revenge”, they then say. As specified in the message, if no complaint has been filed against the actor, he has, for his part, decided to take matters into his own hands. Indeed, he will take the case to court, as a victim. “The production of More beautiful life subject to the vindictiveness of certain networks of influence, thought it right to deprive Kjel Bennett of his role, which was nevertheless widely acclaimed by the public, without him having been officially and courageously informed.can we read before adding: “So I filed a complaint in the interest of Kjel Bennett addressed on July 12, 2022 to the dean of the investigating judges of the Judicial Court of Paris against all the people who participated in spreading these rumors, false, imaginary and therefore defamatory. The lawyers also say they want to file other complaints against “all people or newspapers who relay this imaginary, unfounded and detrimental information to his honor and his consideration“.

Kjel Bennett: How did this news come to light?

It was an announcement that had the effect of a bomb. Last May, it was journalist Clément Garin, also a columnist on Cyril Hanouna’s show, who indicated on his Twitter account that Kjel Bennett had been ousted from the series. “His character, who no longer appeared since the plot of the driver’s license, is deleted (concordant internal sources). I will not publicly expose the famous ‘unacceptable behavior’ against him to avoid defamation, but I can say that the eviction is justified”, he had first indicated on his Twitter account before adding: This dismissal is fair and delights almost the entire cast!“. He then indicated that he had this information from “two comedians from the series and an actor“who however did not give the”same reasons for this eviction”. As a reminder, Kjel Bennet played the role of Bilal.
