In the episode of More beautiful life from Tuesday August 30, 2022, Mirta (Sylvie Flepp) comes down early in the morning to go find Father Luc (Guillaume Laloux). Yolande (Élisabeth Commelin), who does not know what her friend does with her days, asks Akira (Éloïse Bernazzi) to follow her for 30 euros. Akira is quick to find Mirta and photograph her kissing Father Luc. On returning to the Zéphyr, Akira tells Yolande of his discovery. Yolande does not hide her surprise, which catches Luna’s attention. Seeing the photo of her mother kissing Father Luc, she can’t believe it…
Tired of spending his days in the hospital with Simon (Julien Ellenrieder), Éric (Régis Maynard) goes to the police station in the hope of being able to lend a hand in the investigation. Kévin (Théo Bertrand) hesitates for a long time but ends up giving in. He lets her know that the investigation room is free in the afternoon. On site, Éric watches the video surveillance images of the motorway rest area located near Simon’s farm. He notices that Martin, the junk dealer, went there shortly before the attack. It is therefore he who would have shot Simon and would have gone to look for the crow at their house.
Is Justine the arsonist?
At the roommate, Romain (Simon Ehrlacher) prepares to leave with Vanessa for a week in his family cabin. Sylvia (Roxane Turmel), who has doubts about the young woman since she caught him rummaging through Romain’s belongings, does not hide her concern. Later, Romain and Vanessa arrive at the shed. The young doctor is under the spell. He appreciates the calm of the place, far from the excitement of the city. During dinner, Vanessa confides to Romain that she often came to the shed when she was a teenager. She was not comfortable with kids her own age and preferred solitude. His mother, who was a botanist, then taught him the secret of plants. To immortalize their moment, Vanessa offers to take a picture but remembers leaving her cell phone upstairs. As Romain slips away to pick him up, she puts drugs in his drink.
In the early morning, Baptiste (Bryan Trésor) picks up Mathis at the studio. Emma (Pauline Bression) takes the opportunity to show her the photo of Justine (Maelli Kervoelen) and Olivier Jourdan, the sect’s guru. Baptiste falls from the clouds. Jourdan is suspected of having started all the arson in the region. Emma hypothesizes that Justine is her accomplice… Back at Justine’s, Baptiste shows her the photo taken by Emma. The young woman explains that she was contacted by Jourdan and agreed to meet him to learn more about the sect. Nevertheless, his lead came to nothing.
After his conversation with Justine, Baptiste returns to the studio to bring back one of Mathis’ toys. He takes the opportunity to ask Emma why she is so interested in Justine. The young woman admits to having doubts about the latter. She therefore prefers to investigate her rather than take the risk that something happens to Baptiste. In the middle of the night, Justine receives an SMS and leaves the apartment. Baptiste wakes up soon after and tries to call her to no avail. Suddenly his phone rings. A new start of criminal fire has just been reported. So is Justine the arsonist?
