On Thursday December 16, 2021, Paralympic swimmer Théo Curin made a remarkable entrance into the world of Plus belle la vie. For nearly 3 months, he played Hugo Castel, whose family wanted to buy the Hôtel Céleste which had just exploded. But as always in the daily soap opera, nothing had gone as planned.

After being kidnapped by a drug cartel, Elodie, Hugo’s mother, had decided to leave Marseille in order to protect her husband and four children from possible reprisals. The teenager had then announced that he wanted to leave with his mother in order to watch over her and leave space for his brothers and sisters. On Wednesday February 2, Hugo and his mother boarded a boat and left Marseille.

If the departure of his character seems final, Théo Curin has revealed that he does not close the door to a return to Plus belle la vie. “It is not planned at the moment”, he explained to Allociné during the promotion of Handigang, a TV movie broadcast Monday, May 2 on TF1 in which he plays the main role.

It was a very good opportunity but I didn’t want to be recurrent to lock myself into the role. I took what there was to take and gave it my all. I learned a lot there. In any case it is not planned for the moment but maybe.

In the meantime, Théo Curin, who began his career as an actor in the short program of France 2 Vestiaires, has a string of projects. In addition to his role in Handigang alongside Alessandra Sublet, he will be one of the competitors in the next edition of “Pekin Express” on M6.
