More beautiful life: this physical transformation requested from Dounia Coesens after her casting

Dounia Coesens will return to a bonus Plus belle la vie on Tuesday July 5, 2022 on France 3. For the occasion, she confided in Télépro about her first casting to join the series.

For ten years, Dounia Coesens interpreted the role of Johanna Marci in More beautiful life. As she said goodbye to her character in 2014, she is preparing to make a comeback in a prime entitled “reunion“, which will be broadcast on Tuesday, July 5 on France 3. This event will mark the return of other historical figures of the Marseille series, a few months before its final cessation.

On the occasion of her return for an episode, Dounia Coesens recently confided in Telepro. The 33-year-old actress returned to her casting for the series. “I was 15 and I was all intimidated, I didn’t even know what it was like to play. It was very strange, but my father was fortunately there to reassure me” she recalled.

Dounia Coesens talks about the production requirements

If the casting had gone rather well for Dounia Coesens, she had been forced to operate a slight physical change to be able to interpret the role of Johanna Marci. She explained about this unexpected request: “I remember that at the time, it was the fashion for square and very thin eyebrows. I had received a phone call from the production who had said to me: ‘We take you, but you are growing back your eyebrows!‘”. Faced with this requirement, theteenager had completely panicked at the thought of losing his future rolee. “And every day I was there: But it doesn’t grow, it doesn’t grow anymore!” she confided with humor.

Finally, Dounia Coesens had been able to integrate the series until season 15. After More beautiful life, she has appeared in many successful series. More recently, she landed the main role in the series The Doc and the vet alongside Michel Cymes. The series aired in 2021 on France 3.
