More beautiful life: why does Prudence Leroy (Fanny) leave the series?

In the episode of “Plus belle la vie” broadcast this Tuesday evening, Fanny will say goodbye to her Mistral roommates. Why did her interpreter, Prudence Leroy, decide to leave the France 3 series?

Heartache accumulates for Roman Vidal (Simon Ehrlacher). At the beginning of the summer, the young doctor, who has been in love since the shipwreck on the desert island of Fanny (Prudence Leroy), chained the conquests to the roommate, going out first with Sylvia before setting his sights on Emily.

Faced with these disastrous experiences, he had reconnected with his ex-wife who had offered to return to live in Paris with her. But at the time of leaving Marseilles, he read a letter written by Fanny in which she revealed to him to have feelings for him.

Romain then made the decision to stay in Marseille in the hope that their love story would finally see the light of day. Alas, what the young man did not know was that this letter had not actually been written by Fanny, but by Sylvia, who had decided to play matchmaker.

If the fans of More beautiful life continued to nourish the hope of one day seeing the Fanny-Romain couple form, they will be very disappointed. Last June, Simon Ehrlacher, who plays Doctor Vidal, had indeed confided to the microphone of Allociné that his character would soon find love … but that it would not be in the arms of Fanny.

In this Tuesday evening’s episode, the young man will receive a postcard from the waitress in which she tells him that she will not be returning to Marseille. Fanny will indeed leave to work on a liner to go around the world.

Why did Prudence Leroy leave the series?

If this somewhat abrupt end may surprise more than one, it is linked to the private life of Prudence Leroy. The actress had to distance herself from Plus belle la vie because she was pregnant. A pregnancy that the writers chose not to include in the series, probably because it wouldn’t really have made sense with the character’s ongoing storylines.

However, it is not excluded that the young woman, who welcomed her second child last May, will return by the end of the series, even if for the moment nothing has been confirmed. One thing is certain, however: the relationship between his character and Romain Vidal will not see the light of day.

But the young man should not finish the adventure More beautiful single life. The writers have planned a new love interest for the doctor… and he should arrive in the next episodes.

Indeed, Romain will meet a mysterious young woman named Vanessa, who will capsize his heart. Embodied by Marguerite Dabrin, whom we were able to see in particular in Research Section, this new character will make a remarkable entrance in the episode broadcast tomorrow evening.

Is this Romain’s new great love? Answer in the next episodes of Plus belle la vie, available in preview on Salto.
