More than €10,000 off the Honda e:Ny1 electric SUV, finally a good deal?

Honda does not want to repeat the mistake of the e, its first mass-produced electric car, which was too expensive to attract customers. While many manufacturers are lowering the prices of their electric cars, Honda is following the trend and applying a very significant discount on its e:Ny1 SUV.

Ineligible for the ecological bonus and displayed at a list price of €45,700, Honda’s electric SUV was no longer at all competitive in France. It now benefits from a discount of €12,800, which brings its purchase cost down to €32,900 in Executive finish (eligible for this limited quantity offer) and €34,900 in Advance finish.

The offer is “accessible to individuals and professionals while stocks last and in the participating network until June 30, 2024 on a selection of new e:Ny1s, order from March 1, 2024 and delivery/registration before June 30, 2024”explains Honda.

Take it or leave it ?

Derived from the hybrid H-RV, the e:Ny1 is an electric SUV measuring 4.39 m in length, which places it between city models and compact models. It is therefore a rival to the Peugeot e-2008, Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia Niro EV and other Renault Scenic E-Tech electric. Faced with its adversaries, the Honda SUV is now one of the most accessible with its discounted price.

The offer is therefore quite interesting, especially considering the already very complete equipment of the entry-level Executive version, which offers the electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and even a wireless charger as standard. On the technical sheet side, the e:Ny1 is equipped with a 204 hp electric motor and a useful 61.9 kWh battery, for a range of up to 412 km. Its “fast” charge, however, is limited to 78 kW, lengthening stops at charging stations.

The MG4 compact electric sedan, slightly smaller, may however make you hesitate as its current prices are without competition, at €30,990 in the high-end Luxury version for a range of 435 km.
