Several surveys published in recent years illustrate a trend that is still struggling to diminish: during sex, French women are less satisfied in bed than their male compatriots.
The years pass and the balance struggles to balance. The daily Midi-Free has compiled several studies published in recent years on the sexual satisfaction of French women. Among them, a study by Ifop for the European Observatory of Female Sexuality, with edifying figures. According to his statistics, French women are the unluckiest in Europe : in 2021, 35% of them said they were dissatisfied with their sex life. The gap with men seems to be wideningwith +4 points between 2016 (31%) and 2021 in France, compared to an average increase of +1 point in the five countries cited in this study.
More recently, a study carried out on July 27 by Harris Interactive for the XLoveCam site on heterosexual couples indicates more encouraging figures: just like men, women are 44% to consider their sex life satisfactory. The difference concerns more people in couples and single people: thus, 61% of people in a relationship for 5 years or less express their satisfaction, against 52% for relationships over 5 years and 25% for singles. On the other hand, the orgasm frequency gap (also called orgasm gap) still exists : 92% of men in a relationship report reaching it every time or often during sex, compared to 79% of women. Masturbation is more effective: regardless of gender, one in two people say they reach orgasm through this practice. But 86% of men say they have already masturbated, compared to 64% of women.

Results that echo another study carried out by the Amorelie boutique last March. Thus, according to the figures that emerged, 80% of men say they reach orgasm during sex, compared to 59% of women. And it is not always sincere: thus, 67% of women admit to having already simulated, against 32% of men. Only one in four women reaches orgasm during penetration; masturbation is more effective for more than two out of five women.
