More time at home? Hobbies that we can try now

What am I doing now with all my time? In the meantime, I have not only heard the question often, but also often asked myself. During the day, home office and childcare are on the schedule, but especially in the afternoons and evenings, the ceiling is slowly falling on my head. I urgently need a new job. I'd like to try these:

1. Learn Japanese

Yes! Learn a language online, educate yourself. When, if not now?

2. Bake bread

So right, start with sourdough and feed. So far, my first attempts have not been particularly pleasing. My first bread would have done well in a rock garden, the second doesn't make any effort to be shaped at all. Now, however, the ambition has gripped me. I'll show it to the bread. With the kind support of the Brotdoc himself and the best tips for baking.

3. Meditate

Time to go down a bit, I want to be learned. In short, ohhhmmmm is not enough. However, there are many great podcasts on the net on the subject of meditation and mindfulness with practical exercises for which it is no longer necessary, apart from ourselves. So close your eyes and take a deep breath, at some point it will work all by itself. And honestly: a little inner peace for the mind is good for all of us.

4. Beekeeping

Well, that's not possible in an apartment now, but for everyone with a garden, it's a great project to first stock up on honey

and second, to do something good for nature. All it takes is a beehive and people. You can build the first yourself, the second you get either alone during the swarming period, from the beekeeping association or beekeepers nearby. There are also helpful tips on how to fill your karma point account as a beekeeper, for example in "Beekeeping – Beekeeping for Beginners".

5. Gardening

A little bit of color and a few flowers make the world out there look a little different – at least more colorful. And if you are not supposed to enjoy spring in the park, then at least on your own balcony, in the garden or front yard. Gardening is also somehow meditative and relaxes body and mind. By the way, plants can be easily bought online. So without any risk. And the bees are happy too.

6. Play online games

No matter whether old classics or the latest games. Here is something for everyone. Alone, in pairs, for the whole family – just dive into other worlds in between and let some magic work, race or whatever you feel like doing.

7. Macrame and Co

Sewing, knitting, crocheting, knots … Everything you need is available online. Instructions also. And when the sun is shining, you can crochet on the balcony or in the garden. This relaxes the head and is really not as old-fashioned as it may sound.

8. Dance course

May i ask? The classic couple hobby goes online, via app or DVD. Especially in difficult times, dancing should be good for the relationship …

9. Learn an instrument

This in turn could be critical for relationships, at least when a trumpet or violin is in play. But it can also be a lot of fun and joy to learn guitar together or alone. And here too you only need an app or YouTube and "Smoke on the Water" is booming through the hut.

10. Write a book

Actually your absolute life dream, but you never find the time? Well then: ran the laptop and punched the keys. Before that, you can get in the mood for your very special project with our article The Big Dream of Your Own Book: How it is when it really comes true.

11. Paint a picture

I'm just saying: Painting by numbers for adults …
