A few names have been added to the list of US citizens who will be banned from entering Russia in the future. About Morgan Freeman.

The hardened political fronts between the US and Russia over the war of aggression against Ukraine are having increasingly curious consequences. An updated list of US citizens was publishedwho will be banned from entering Russia in the future. In addition to political decision-makers such as US President Joe Biden (79) and Vice President Kamala Harris (57), the 963 names also include Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman (84).

Why was the “Sieben” star declared persona non grata on Russian soil? The reason for this is a video from 2017 published by the actor. In it, Freeman “accused Russia of conspiring against the United States and called for a fight against our country,” according to the reasoning, which can be found on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Mark Zuckerberg was also affected

Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg (38) is also one of the people on the list. He was already part of the enumeration published in April. Its Internet platforms Facebook and Instagram had previously been declared “extremist” because, from Moscow’s point of view, fake news about the war in Ukraine was being spread on them. Both services have been blocked in Russia.

One is still missing from the updated list: Former US President Donald Trump (75), who is said to have been involved in an alleged Russia affair during his candidacy in 2016, as the Democratic Party still accuses him of. Instead, people ended up on the list who shouldn’t care: three former US senators who have already passed away, including John McCain (1936-2018).

However, this form of sanctions is not unilateral. The USA has also imposed several entry bans on Russian citizens.
