(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission announces that it has authorized the acquisition of sole control of the Spanish company Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales, by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure (‘MSI’).
Valoriza collects, processes, recycles and manages waste, including construction and demolition debris, and generates electricity and gas through these activities. It is also active, among other things, in the cleaning of urban streets, the management of street furniture and the maintenance of pavements in Spain, Australia and Colombia.
MSI, a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley of the United States, invests in infrastructure assets.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise any competition concerns, since the activities of the companies do not overlap and are not vertically linked.
