Mortal Kombat 1: an “unacceptable” Switch version, Ed Boon speaks out and makes promises

Warner Bros. Games And NetherRealm Studios have launched in recent days Mortal Kombat 1, their new gory fighting game. A title available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series .

Well, this probably didn’t make the developers laugh, but players can rest assured, nothing is lost. Ed Boon, creator of the franchise and producer of the game, spoke with BBC Newsbeat about this completely failed Switch port. Ed Boon states that Mortal Kombat 1 will ‘absolutely get an update’ and that “a number of issues raised will absolutely be resolved,” and that “anything unacceptable will be absolutely resolved.”

Moreover, NetherRealm Studios don’t plan to give up MK1 on Switch, the game will be supported in the long term, as was Mortal Kombat 11 before him. However, Ed Boon admits that “it would have been ideal for us to release the version we absolutely wanted”suggesting that the publisher Warner Bros. Games pushed the developers to complete this port quickly to launch it at the same time as on other platforms. Now that a game will be pushed back only to Switch, we can think again about Mortal Kombat 1 and tell us that a postponement does not hurt…

Ed Boon’s announcements regarding future patches should still be enough to reassure players, hoping that these updates do not arrive too late. You can find Mortal Kombat 1 from €51.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount Or there Fnac.
