MOSCOW (Reuters) – Moscow on Thursday condemned a resolution passed by the Latvian parliament calling Russia a “state sponsor of terrorism”.

“Since there is no substance, except ferocious xenophobia, behind this decision, it is necessary to consider that these ideologues are nothing but neo-Nazis”, reacted on the Telegram messaging application. spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

This resolution of the Latvian Parliament describes the actions of Russia in Ukraine as “genocide targeted against the Ukrainian people”.

It also calls for greater military, financial, humanitarian and diplomatic support for Ukraine.

Russia says it sent troops to Ukraine last February to “denazify” the country which Moscow considers to be ruled by neo-Nazis.

Kyiv and Western countries believe that Moscow is using this rhetoric to justify its imperialist campaign in Ukraine.
