Russia’s missile cruiser Moskva has sunk

Whether it was Ukrainian missiles or a fire that broke out on board is still unclear. However, it is now certain that the “Moskva”, flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, has sunk.
The damaged Russian missile cruiser “Moskva” has sunk, according to a report by the Russian state agency TASS. The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet went down during a storm, it said. The Ria Novosti news agency also reported this, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Ukrainian military officials had previously reported that the ship had been hit by anti-ship missiles. Moscow had denied this and spoke of a fire that broke out on board.
The warship sank in heavy seas after an explosion and a fire when it was being towed to a port, it said. The ministry previously said a fire caused an explosion of munitions.
