Moselle: they discover worrying marks on their 7-month-old baby and take matters into their own hands

The parents of a 7 and a half month old baby made a terrible discovery, Wednesday, November 30. That day, they picked up their child from a crèche belonging to the People and Baby group in Metz. This one presents scratch marks in the ear, a bruise on the temple as well as “bloodshot left eye” as reported RMC.

The mother, shocked after picking up her child in this condition, said: “I don’t wish any parent to live that minute, when I was alone with my damaged baby“. Luckily, the couple managed to get an appointment at an ophthalmologist the same evening, in order to have their baby examined. According to them, the latter would have issued “the hypothesis of a left nasal bulbar contusion“.

Nursery denies child abuse charges

Determined to confront their child’s nursery, the parents have got an appointment with the director of the establishment. “I tell him that two doctors say all the same that it’s a blow (…) it happens domestic accidents, but that we are told what happened” lamented the mother of the baby. For its part, the crèche explained that the child had woke up from his nap with a red eyeand that it could be conjunctivitis since three cases have been reported in the establishment.

For the father of the child, the hypothesis of a conjunctivitis is an excuse from the crib. He stated : “We don’t have the reddened arch like in the photos of the day with conjunctivitis. So there is anger, a really, really unpleasant feeling of being taken for idiots“. Faced with the absence of justification from the establishment, the couple decided to file a complaint for “child abusePeople and Baby Group strongly disputes the charges.
