Passionate about series of all genres, but also about horror and teen movies, Jérémie Dunand was fed up with teen series and slashers from the 90s, from Buffy to Scream, via Dawson. Head of the TV section, he now mainly writes about French series and singles.

After the departure of Kellan Lutz a few months ago, it is the turn of Julian McMahon, the star of the series, to leave “Most Wanted Criminals”, broadcast in France on TF1 and Série Club.

A twist in Most Wanted Criminals: after Nathaniel Arcand and more recently Kellan Lutz, who said goodbye to the series at the end of the first episode of season 3 last September, it’s the turn of Julian McMahon, alias Jess LaCroix , to leave the ship en route!

Star of Most Wanted Criminals since its launch in January 2020 on the CBS channel in the United States, Julian McMahon, whom fans of Charmed and Nip / Tuck know well, indeed announced this weekend his departure in a press release relayed through Deadline.

“Over the past few months, the producers of Most Wanted Criminals and I have been in discussions about my departure to pursue new creative challenges, and the transition for the character of Jess LaCroix.”, explains the actor in his message for fans of the FBI spin-off, whose title in VO is “FBI: Most Wanted”. “These conversations allowed us to orchestrate my departure in a coherent and productive way”.

“I would like to express my gratitude and admiration for producers Dick Wolf and Peter Jankowski. I am extremely proud of the work we have done together, and I place the development of the series and my character of Jess at the top of my best professional experiences. And I wish my playing partners, the teams, and the series the greatest success.”.

According to Deadline, the last episode with Julian McMahon will be filmed this week and will air on March 8 in the United States. It is unclear what release will be reserved for the character of Jess LaCroix, but Most Wanted Criminal should introduce a new lead by the end of its third season, in order to fill the void left by the departure of the actor.

In France, the new season 2 of Most Wanted Criminal is currently offered every Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Série Club, before an upcoming broadcast on TF1.
