Mother seriously injured – branch falls on pram: 6 month old baby dead

In Flums, Switzerland, directly over the border with Vorarlberg, a family drama happened on Monday: While walking, a branch fell on a 30-year-old woman and her baby in a stroller due to squalls. The toddler died on Tuesday night.

The 30-year-old woman took her baby and her parents for a walk near a football field in Flums on Monday afternoon. A sudden gust of wind caused several branches of a tree to break off and fall on mother and child.

Both the 30-year-old and her six-month-old baby were seriously injured and had to be flown to the hospital by helicopter. On Tuesday night the baby died of his serious injuries and the mother is still being treated in the hospital. Both parents (71.74) were only slightly injured in the accident.
