Motorcycle technical control: the government opens a public consultation

In order to draw up more precisely the contours of the law governing the technical inspection of motorcycles, and more broadly, mopeds, three-wheelers and light quadricycles, the government has opened an online public consultation to gather the opinions and suggestions of citizens.

Perfect the technical control

Obviously, all citizens are invited to express themselves on the usual platform dedicated to public consultations. In addition, it is possible to consult the draft decrees and decrees in order to better understand the measures envisaged by this technical inspection.

Then just click on the button “Submit your comment” to draft an opinion before sending it to the government. This consultation should make it possible to collect a number of suggestions, relating in particular to the control points, but also to the frequency, the price or the distribution of the approved centers on the territory.

As a reminder, all motorized two- and three-wheelers, as well as light quadricycles are concerned by this technical inspection, regardless of the cubic capacity or the type of engine. Cars without a license like the Citroën Ami are therefore concerned in the same way as motorcycles or small scooters. Collector’s vehicles are also subject to inspection, but with longer intervals.
