Moulinex Cookeo Touch Pro: this functionality that we no longer expected and which will simplify cooking

Already rich with five models, the Cookeo is available in a new very successful version with the Cookeo Touch Pro. The most popular electric pressure cooker on the market recovers the same top-of-the-range functionalities as those inaugurated by the Touch Wi-Fi (touch screen, guided cooking, wifi connection, etc.). But what sets it apart from other models in the series is the scale integrated directly into its body, which promises to make meal preparation easier. This scale is accurate to the nearest gram and can support a weighing of 5 kg.

Several units of measurement are selectable (g, kg, ml, cl, dl, l) so that you no longer have to convert them. Concretely, it is the same on-board scale as that of the i-Companion Touch Pro XL, the manufacturer’s robot cooker. During its test, we found nothing to complain about with the weighing display, which was rather responsive. The accuracy of the scale is also very good.

Faster warm-up

The Cookeo Touch Pro has many other arguments in its tank to convince, starting with faster preheating. This is indeed one of the Cookeo’s sticking points: the preheating time considerably slows down preparation times, which can be very tedious. With the Cookeo Touch Pro, preheating is used only when necessary. Thus, all the cooking methods carried out with the lid open do not need it: gentle cooking, browning, simmering. This should save valuable time in the kitchen.

A Cookeo for less than €200

Alongside this launch, Moulinex also plans to market the cheapest Cookeo in its range. With the Cookeo + Mini, the manufacturer offers a more compact model (3 l tank, of which 2 l are useful versus 6 l for the classic versions). This capacity would therefore be “ideal for two people”but would suit up to four guests.

The power is therefore logically lower than that of the big brothers and goes from 1600 to 900 W. Unlike the Cookeo WiFi Mini, the Cookeo + Mini is not connected and benefits from the interface of the classic Cookeo. It is not tactile and is controlled using a wheel to switch between the different cooking programs.

As you might expect, this Cookeo Mini retains all the features of the “big” model, namely a catalog made up of around fifty recipes and some of the most basic cooking programs.

With its new range of Cookeo, Moulinex is expanding its catalog to present an exhaustive offer. Available in September, the new Cookeo Touch Pro and Cookeo + Mini will be sold at €499 and €199 respectively.
