(Boursier.com) — Moulinvest communicated an annual consolidated turnover of 114.1 million euros for its 2021-2022 financial year against 93.7 million euros for the previous financial year (+22%). The Timber Construction activity (51.6% of turnover) recorded the strongest growth (+37%) thanks to sustained demand and an increase in average selling prices. The activities of the Wood Energy division (20.3% of turnover) progressed more modestly by 5.2%.

Moulinvest explains that its pellet sales were lower in volume compared to the previous financial year due to massive destocking during the 2020-2021 financial year. Demand accelerated during the second half of the year. exercise, pushing prices higher. The production tool is now working at full capacity, just in time. The cogeneration activity recorded an increase of 3.7%. The Impregnation division (26% of turnover) saw its activity grow by 11.3%. The poles market fell by 11.8% due to the scheduled termination of the partnership with Orange. The Décovert range continued to grow (+29.4%), taking advantage of continued strong demand in the exterior fittings markets (deck boards, structural wood). Thanks to the investments made in recent years, Moulinvest can thus post record sales since its IPO.

The group warns that cost inflation, coupled with a tightening of financing conditions (rise in interest rates, blocking wear and tear rates, etc.) may temporarily penalize construction activity. “While visibility is relatively limited in the short term, the medium-term commercial outlook remains positive. In fact, global warming and the resulting construction standards will lead to the use of more wood in new constructions. Similarly, the demand on the pellet market is also holding up very well,” says Moulinvest.
