Wigev communications spokeswoman Nina Brenner-Küng: “It’s about acute psychiatry. This means that we take on patients for psychiatric care and stabilization in an acute phase of illness. This is usually the case immediately after a crime and in the period before a main hearing. The goal of the treatment is return to the prison and reintegration into everyday prison life.”
All officially required safety regulations are taken into account to ensure the safety of employees, but also of the patients. The measures include, for example, the walls around the pavilion, security fences, a lock, alarm systems, security doors and windows and other measures.
