Moving on a bed or even going up the stairs, here are the latest innovations in robot vacuum cleaners and washers

The market for robot vacuum cleaners and washers is booming! Brands such as Dreame, Roborock, Ecovacs, Anker Eufy and Creatulize compete in ingenuity to offer ever more innovative and efficient products. Their objective ? Offering us increasingly autonomous and efficient devices, capable of cleaning our home without ever requiring maintenance. In this article, we offer you an overview of the latest developments in robot vacuum cleaners and washers.

Brands continue to push the boundaries of technology to make our lives easier. Robot vacuum cleaners capable of emptying themselves, washing floors with hot water or even going up and down stairs, there are many innovations. But what are the most innovative models of the moment? Overview of recent developments.

Migo Robotics

Startup Migo Robotics has launched Ascender, an innovative vacuuming and mopping robot that promises to clean the entire house without ever asking for help from the user, even going up or down stairs. You read correctly. The main particularity of Ascender is to integrate two motorized legs which it can deploy thanks to two joints to navigate the stairs. It can both lower them, but also raise them and even clean them thanks to another little feature.

Its brush is mounted on a rotating disc which allows it to be turned 90° to clean with side sweeps. A mop is also provided, but the shape of the stairs may limit the effectiveness of this system. To navigate, Ascender uses a laser rangefinder coupled with a camera and other lasers on the front for mapping and obstacle detection. It is therefore capable of recognizing certain obstacles for autonomous and precise navigation.

It will be launched via a crowdfunding campaign, we encourage you to be patient and wait for the final version of this product.

Ecovacs Deebot

Ecovacs, the Chinese robot vacuum manufacturer, is set to launch two new high-end models: the Deebot T30 Omni and the Deebot T30 Pro Omni. The Deebot T30 Pro Omni integrates a new Yiko voice assistant, developed by Ecovacs, which allows you to control the robot vacuum cleaner by voice. In addition, this model benefits from a new function allowing it to detect particularly dirty areas and clean them again automatically.

Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni

The Deebot T30 Omni and T30 Pro Omni share many common features, such as 11,000Pa suction power, True Adaptive Mopping, TrueMapping 2.0 navigation and TrueDetect 3D 3.0 obstacle avoidance. Lots of home technologies which above all mean that these new vacuum cleaners will be able to find their way around your home more easily. The base remains compact, 48 cm high, it allows the vacuum cleaner to run longer before you have to empty it or refill the water tank. The launch of the two robot vacuum cleaners is planned for later in the month, here we are facing high-end products which will certainly be sold for more than 1,000 euros.

Dreame

The Chinese manufacturer Dreame presented its latest addition, the Mova G30 Pro, a device that combines the functionality of both a vacuum cleaner and a washer. The Dreame Mova G30 Pro stands out with its unique cleaning system. Unlike other robot vacuums, it does not have two rotating mops or a vibrating cloth to perform the wiping function. Instead, he uses a rotating and lifting wiping rollera function that allows for more efficient and precise cleaning.

Dreame Mova G30 Pro

But that’s not all. For the first time, Dreame uses hot water at 60°C for cleaning. Until now, this technology was only used in the cleaning station for mop laundry. With the Dreame Mova G30 Pro, hot water is directly integrated into the device, allowing for even deeper and more hygienic cleaning.

The Dreame Mova G30 Pro is equipped with LiDAR navigation, an advanced technology that enables precise environmental mapping and optimal navigation. It also has an obstacle detection system via an AI camera and a laser, which allows it to avoid obstacles and clean autonomously. In terms of suction power, the Dreame Mova G30 Pro is no slouch. With a suction power of 8,300 Pa. In addition, it is equipped with a roller brush specially designed for cutting hair, which greatly facilitates the maintenance of the device.

The Dreame Mova G30 Pro comes with a multifunctional base station. According to the manufacturer, this station has ten different functions, including an optional water connection. This base station also allows you to recharge the device, empty its dust container and clean its brushes, all automatically.

Dreame Mova M1

Dreame also has a much more economical model, the Mova M1. The maximum suction power is 4,500 Pa, there is no base, but it still has a laser even though it is sold for less than 200 euros.

The Chinese manufacturer Dreame also recently marketed the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat, which we have already tested, a robot vacuum cleaner equipped with a hot water cleaning function. The particularity of this model is that it can be connected to the water inlet and outlet, which allows it to automatically fill and empty the clean and dirty water tanks housed in its docking station, all two with a capacity of 4.5 liters.

As with the brand’s previous models, the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat fills its onboard water tank with a capacity of 80 ml itself. Both mops are identical to those found on the L20 Ultra. Regarding other features, the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat uses functions already adopted by other references of the brand. It notably has a precise navigation system thanks to a laser rangefinder and obstacle detection sensors, as well as high suction power for deep cleaning.

Anker Eufy

Anker, for its part, unveiled its new high-end vacuum cleaner, the Eufy S1 Pro, formerly known as the Mach R1. The Chinese manufacturer aims to solve a specific problem: robot vacuums and moppers tend to spread dirt rather than clean it, because the mops somehow run in their own juice, even if fresh water is provided.

Eufy S1 Pro

With the S1 Pro, the brush is cleaned during the cleaning process, which would guarantee cleaning exclusively with fresh water. The manufacturer even provided a photo taken under UV light to prove the effectiveness of its system.

It’s not the only one to announce this, the just announced Eureka J20 does the same thing. Instead of a vibrating mop or rotating pads, it uses a “rolling” mop. The latter is placed around two rollers which drive it in a continuous movement. When the mop passes under the robot, it scrubs the floor. It is then rinsed using clean water and dirty water tanks installed at the back of the robot before coming out. This system, called RollRenew, is not completely new, but it is still not widespread.

Roborock

Roborock also continues to be prolific: it introduced two new robot vacuums and moppers designed to offer dry and wet cleaning. Each of these robots is equipped with a suction station: one with a water tank, the other with a connection for fresh water and waste water. Dry cleaning is provided by two rollers which remove deeply embedded dust. The suction power of the robot is 11,000 Pa, which should guarantee a thorough cleaning. The P10S Pro is also equipped with a side brush to easily clean corners and a rotating mop.

Self-cleaning of the mops is ensured by water heated to 60°C, which eliminates residues according to the Chinese manufacturer. The mops are then dried with hot air to prevent unpleasant odors, especially if not used for a long time. Overall, they are very complete robots, they have all the modern functions, including Lidar which cannot be missed.

Creatulize

The Creatulize X1 is a new robot vacuum cleaner of a new type: this robot is specially designed for use on a bed and is capable of vacuuming up mites, even those that are stuck or attached.

Creatulize

This Creatulize X1 uses a vibration system with 15,000 oscillations per minute to effectively capture mites. The suction power of the robot is 14 air watts. The robot is also equipped with UV treatment, with four UV-C lamps that are said to eliminate 99.99% of mites and bacteria. The wavelength is 270 Nm and the effectiveness of the method has been confirmed by an independent body.

The Creatulize X1 can move autonomously on a bed and is equipped with sensors to prevent falls. However, it can also be used as a portable device for cleaning cushions or the back of a sofa. The robot is equipped with a special filter system that prevents trapped dust from being released into the surrounding air. The robot is currently available as part of an already successfully funded Kickstarter campaign, at a price of 139 euros. However, we recommend that you wait for the final version of the product before investing.
