The Taiwanese company unveils six gaming laptops in the Titan, Vector, Raider and Creator series. They are powered by processors Intel of 12e generation and graphics cards NVIDIA RTX. One also benefits from a slab OLED of 240Hz.

MSI presents its 2022 vintage of high-end laptops, which the company has equipped with Intel Alder Lake-HX processors. The affected models are the Titan GT77, Raider GE77/67, Vector GP76/66 and CreatorPro X17.

Intel Alder Lake-HX processor: up to 16 cores / 24 threads

First of all, remember that Intel launched the Alder Lake-HX series of processors on May 11. It includes seven references, from Core i5-12450HX to Core i9-12950HX. This range introduced 16-core / 24-thread mobile processors (8 P-cores and 8 E-cores), a configuration previously reserved for certain desktop chips. Indeed, the Alder Lake-H and Alder Lake-P ranges offer processors with 14 cores / 20 threads at best (6 P-cores and 8 E-cores).

Adding two more P-cores results in a rise in PBP (Processor Base Power), which drops to 55 W. The iGPU of these Alder Lake-HX processors also loses a few execution units (32 EUs, 16 EUs for the Core i5-12450 HX). Logically, these processors are intended for well-cooled laptops, and coupled with dedicated GPUs.

This is of course the case of the MSI computers listed at the beginning of the article. In order not to fall into a long and rather boring inventory, you will find all the specifications on the brand’s website mentioned at the end of the article. Overall, remember that these machines all ship up to the Core i9-12950HX and up to the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti mobile from NVIDIA or the RTX A5500 in the case of the CreatorPro X17.

Four 17.3-inch and two 15.6-inch

Four of the laptops unveiled by MSI are 17.3 inches: they are the Titan GT77, Vector GP76 HX, Raider GE77 HX and CreatorPro X17.

MSI has equipped the Titan GT77 and CreatorPro X17 with an IPS UHD (3840 x 2160) / 120 Hz panel. The other two are also available with this screen or with a QHD (2560 x 1440) / 240 Hz panel.

The Raider GE67 HX and Vector GP66 HX are in 15.6-inch format. The Vector GP66 HX has an IPS panel offering QHD definition (2560 x 1440) and a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

The Raider GE67 HX has a special feature: it is the first gaming laptop to benefit from Samsung Display’s 240 Hz QHD OLED screen.
