MTV Video Music Awards: Big Night for Lady Gaga

Despite Corona, the MTV Video Music Awards were celebrated. Lady Gaga, among others, was pleased, the singer won four prizes.

The MTV Video Music Awards 2020 were given on Sunday evening – and despite the corona pandemic, the ceremony became a show with the stars of the industry. In the nominations, Ariana Grande (27) and Lady Gaga (34) were at the top. In the end, the two singers were able to win four awards each, just like BTS, which are also among the big winners.

Lady Gaga was then on stage several times at the VMAs and won, among other things, the first prize of the evening, "Best Collaboration", for her hit single with Grande, "Rain On Me". Two other top awards, "Artist of the Year" and "Song of the Year" also went to Gaga. Also an appearance by the two stars Gaga and Grande in skimpy outfits and with masks was one of the highlights of the show.

Important award for The Weeknd

The K-Pop band BTS was able to take home the trophies for "Best Pop", "Best Group" and "Best K-Pop". Machine Gun Kelly (30) won in the "Best Alternative" category. Taylor Swift (30) won the "Best Director" award. The "Video of the Year" comes from The Weeknd (30). He was awarded for "Blinding Lights".
