MTV Video Music Awards: "Hustlers" star Keke Palmer will host the evening

On August 30th it is supposed to bring some normality to the music industry: Keke Palmer will be given the honor of leading through the MTV VMAs.

Actress, singer and voice actress Keke Palmer (26), known among other things from the crime drama "Hustlers", will lead through this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The star has now announced this personally with an entertaining video on his official Instagram account. "I heard that you are all fed up with 2020," writes Palmer about the clip. "Be with me when I host the MTV VMAs on August 30th."

If everything goes according to plan, the VMAs will be held in New York City and come up with performances from all five districts. In addition, show acts like Doja Cat and BTS are to appear – for the boy group from South Korea it would be the debut at the Video Music Awards. In addition, the new single "Dynamite" will be heard for the first time at their appearance. Lady Gaga (34) and Ariana Grande (27) received the most attention on the nominees list this year.

The event would be an important sign for the coronavirus-ridden USA and the entire music industry – Brooklyn's Barclays Center, where the VMAs are to be held without an audience, has been empty since the pandemic broke out.
