A 10.3-inch E-Ink screen ideal for reading
Well known to e-reader users, E-Ink screens (or electronic paper) have many advantages. And the greatest of them is undoubtedly their reading comfort. For what ? Well quite simply because, unlike a conventional panel, this type of screen does not emit light, and uses ambient light like any sheet of paper (hence its name).
Using this type of screen can significantly reduce eye fatigue and limit exposure to blue light, which is ideal in the evening. To overcome any concerns about ambient light (low or changing brightness), which could prevent reading, Lenovo has everything planned. The Smart Paper is in fact equipped with a two-tone front light capable of adapting to outdoor conditions with no less than 26 levels of brightness and the possibility of adjusting the temperature of the latter.
If the Smart Paper is not strictly speaking a reader, know that it still has access to the Ebooks.com platform and its two million books. It is also capable of displaying many text files (epub, PDF, docx among others). An annotation and note-taking system is also included, as well as an intelligent dictionary accessible by simply pressing a word in the body of a text.
Lenovo Smart Paper Pen: a stylus designed for drawing and note taking
This is the other good surprise that Lenovo has in store for us with its Smart Paper. The manufacturer has indeed decided to add a stylus, the Smart Paper Pen (for originality). In terms of characteristics, this stylus has no less than 4,096 pressure levels, is able to detect its inclination, all with a latency of around 25 ms. An ideal combination for drawing, for example, where precision in the stroke of the pencil plays a key role.
Lenovo’s goal? Transform the Smart Paper into a real digital notepad capable of hosting all your projects. Lenovo has also thought of everything since its tablet offers no less than 74 different paper models, from the simple white sheet to the graph paper through a musical score. The stylus also benefits from several integrated functionalities which allow it to be used as a simple pencil, a highlighter, a marker or even a real brush.
Stylus in hand, so you can let your imagination run wild without any restrictions. A significant plus for fans of the genre, the combination of the E-Ink screen and the Smart Paper Pen provides a feeling that is very close to that of a pen sliding on paper.
Lenovo Smart Paper: an intelligent ecosystem for simplified note taking
In order to transform its tablet into a true digital notepad, Lenovo has particularly worked on the software part of the Smart Paper. Perhaps the most interesting feature is the automatic conversion of handwritten notes into digital text that you can then edit on the fly. Something to reorganize your notes, correct them, annotate them or even highlight important passages with ease.
Equipped with two microphones, the Smart Paper can also be used as a dictaphone. Where things get interesting is that the notes recorded in this way can also be converted into digital text using Microsoft Engine, thus avoiding the tedious task of transcription.
The home application (also called Lenovo Smart Paper for simplicity) allows you to save your notes directly on the device to find them when you need them. A storage service on a secure space in the cloud is also available against a monthly subscription, if you feel the need to protect your data against accidents.
Finally, note that this application offers a very complete ecosystem with features that are all more useful than the others. Among them, you can find the possibility to translate your notes into the language of your choice, or to sign your digital documents in a jiffy.

The Lenovo Smart Paper is already available on the Lenovo site and in most major stores at a price of 499 euros. This tablet is sold in a pack including the Smart Paper Pen and a Smart Paper Folio case. The latter allows both to protect the Smart Paper, and to accommodate the stylus to recharge it.
