Nope, MultiVersus has not disappeared since he has just given some news. After two phases of testing in North America, which saw Velma leak, the developers of Player First Games have prepared a little surprise video for us to give us “news” of the title and do some demonstration matches of this Smash-like sauce Warner Bros.

The next home ground for Smash players?
A little reminder about MultiVersuswhich will not be too much since it is only the second communication around the game since its announcement in November, it is a free-to-play platform fighter at the Smash Bros. but with the difference that it includes characters from licenses held by Warner (looney tunes, DC, Lord of the Rings,..) and that the fights take place in 2 against 2.
The purpose of this video was not to make announcements but rather to show gameplay at a rather high level and for this, the creators of the game invited NAKAT and VoiDtwo professional players of Smash who are used to teaming up. It is therefore not surprising to learn that they were ranked first in the playtests. Questioned by the developers, they obviously find the game incredible.
MultiVersus opens up its alpha a bit
And for viewers, the interest of the video is much more limited without announcing new playable characters (or even rotating fighters during matches). The main information was the announcement of the third playtest from May 19 to 27 which will be a little more open since it will concern all the platforms of the game this time and more territories (without being told which ones).
If you are really in need of big announcements related to Smash-like, know that tomorrow it will be the turn of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to speak to reveal the first information about its paid DLC (with at least one character announcement, we hope). In the meantime, you can register on the official MultiVersus website to hope to obtain access (if your country is concerned…).
Update : The day was not over for MultiVersus, which announced that it would participate in EVO 2022 via an invitational tournament. 32 teams will compete for a Prize Pool of $100,000.
