We know that, for a few months, Player First Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are working on a fighting gameapproaching the Smash Bros. experience. Named MultiVersus, it will offer a very complete roster, made up of several iconic characters from the licenses held by Warnerlike DC Comics, Game of Thrones or cartoon characters such as Tom and Jerry or Bugs Bunny.
Since its announcement, little information had been shared. The developers have corrected the shot, with a long video where we can see gameplay sequences. In fact, two professional Super Smash Bros. Ultimate were invited for this sequence, which of course find the experience very qualitative. As you can see, the gameplay itself resembles games of the genre, where the combination of special attacks is the key to winning the game. Each character will, of course, have unique attacks.
During the few fights visible in this video, several maps of the game are presented, allowing to see that the artistic direction is neat, while highlighting the different universes of Warner.
As a reminder, MultiVersus is scheduled to arrive in 2022, free-to-play, on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Series, but no release on Switch is scheduled, for the moment. Several game modes will be available, such as 1 against 1, 2 against 2 or free-for-all with four. If you want to discover it before its release, you can try to register for the different alphas. The third will take place during the month of May 2022.
