Despite what the pre-season Battle Pass hinted at, Season 1 of MultiVersus won’t arrive anytime soon.
MultiVersus is a real hit on the fighting game scene. We don’t know the numbers yet, but it’s certain that the game will pay off big. Warners Bros Games and Player First Games. While the game is still in beta and the first season is long overdue, the director of MultiVersus and co-founder of Player First Games, Tony Huynhannounced that the Battle Pass of Season 1 would cost 950 Gleamium and feature 50 tiers. However, an announcement from the game’s official Twitter has shattered the hopes of those who wanted see season 1 of the game in the coming days.
We want to let everyone know that we are delaying the start of Season 1 & the release of Morty to a later date. We know this might be disappointing for some and want to assure our Community that we are dedicated to delivering new and exciting content that delights players. (2/3)

Thus, we will have to wait for Play as Morty from Rick and Morty or get the new skins and other cosmetics from the first real Battle Pass. Instead of that, the pre-season Battle Pass will be extended until August 15, which leaves us another week before we (maybe) see new content.
