MultiVersus: the open beta is available and it’s already a hit

The MultiVersus open beta is now available and the number of simultaneous players on Steam is exploding.

While it has just left its early access, MultiVersus, Warner Bros platform fighter, is already a hit according to SteamDB. Indeed, while it was only in early access, the game reached a peak of attendance of 62,433 players, a first for a PC fighting game.

The Video Game Chronicle media teams compared this score with other big names in Versus Fighting and the game even before its release exceeded titles like Dragon Ball Fighter Z or Tekken 7. Of course, we find here only traffic peaks on PC. The fighting game community is known to prefer console gaming.

As a reminder, MultiVersus is a free-to-play fighting game which does not yet have a release date. Its open beta is available today is allows you to embody no less than 16 characters from the Warner stable as Batman, Tom & Jerry or the Iron Giant. The game will soon welcome a plethora of other characters including the basketball player lebron james or Rick & Morty from the eponymous series.
