MultiVersus: Update V0.1 of July 26, the details

With the arrival of the open beta of MultiVersus this July 26, at the end of the afternoon in France, the developers took the opportunity to deploy a small update, in particular correcting the problems encountered in recent days, during early access.

The corrections and adjustments are not numerous, but allow for example to review Taz. You can find all the details of this July 26 MultiVersus update below.

News

• LeBron James has arrived! He’s our first basketball character.

  • For a limited time, gold earned during games is increased by 25% (July 26 to August 8).

Changes and modifications

Batman

• Increased the duration between each Batarang (14 seconds, down from 13). If you pick up the Batarang, the cooldown is 11.55 seconds.
  • Fixed an issue caused by the grappling hook.

iron giant

• Fixed an issue with the down air attack.
• Fixed an issue where you could hit repeatedly while blocking the opponent with the Downward Mid-Air Special Attack.
• Fixed an issue with the upward mid-air attack.

taz

• Fixed an issue that prevented Taz from performing aerial attacks when he reached his limit.
• After much feedback, Taz’s side special move has been revised
  • Removed one of the tornado’s multiple hits.
  • Reduced tornado last hit knockback from 1375 to 1275.

For now, we plan to turn the tornado into a hit with cooldown in an upcoming patch. Tornado is Taz’s signature, so we want it to remain one of his strongest attacks, with a cooldown that will force him to use it more intentionally. These nerfs will reduce Taz’s strength, especially at higher levels of play, so expect improvements to other moves in his kit in the near future. Thank you for your patience and we will continue to assess Taz’s health.

Vera

• Weight reduced from 70 to 63
  • It’s an oversight on our part that Vera is one of the heaviest characters in the game. This change should bring her more in line with what we originally intended.
