MultiVersus: Why does everyone hate Adventure Time’s Finn?

Open for a short week, the open beta of Multiversus is in full swing and the records for simultaneous players continue to be broken! The smash like with Warner Bros sauce blew up Steam counters, while its early access beta had already marked the history of the genre a few days ago.

But inevitably, more players means more feedback on the state of the game, and the community begins to be annoyed by a roster fighter who seems somewhat pissed. The guilty ? Finn the human, a character straight from the Adventure Time universe.

Finn totally broken?

The publisher will already make some adjustments thanks to player feedback. Bugs Bunny, for example, has been identified as having attacks that are more like a Bruiser, dealing unfair amounts of damage in quick succession. So the devs promised a nerf for Rabbit — after EVO — just like they did for Tazz. Now that this case is going to be settled, the ire of the players turns to another character: Finn.

If the hero didn’t seem so menacing in the early hours, now that many obviously overpowered blows have been toned down in-game, Finn has risen to the top of the list of most hated characters by gamers. Clearly, many consider it totally “broken”. The most virulent criticism concerns the attack with his bag. A player on Reddit even stated that the champion’s hit boxes are “the size of Texas”because the rotation of the backpack can hit a player from anywhere and it can be used quite easily.

However, this opinion does not have consensus within the community. Some players believe that the hero is only able to defeat bad players with ease due to his ability to quickly punish them for ill-chosen moves. So, level of the players in question or character farted? The developers will decide.

The next update will arrive after EVO and will bring the long-awaited nerf to Bugs Bunny as well as a buff to Wonder Woman — as for Finn’s case, we’ll have to wait and see if the studio takes action (or not).

MultiVersus continues to break all records… and its players too! While Warner Bros issued a challenge to the community on Twitter, it was met in a flash, proving the investment of players around the world. The reward ? Let’s discover it together!
