Municipal elections: France 2's apologies after a gross error in full live: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Sunday June 28, 2020, the second round of the municipal elections therefore finally took place. The results, rather unfavorable to the executive, offered a red, pink and green areopagus which delighted most of the largest cities in France. United, in particular in Paris where Anne Hidalgo was re-elected in an armchair, the left took again colors during this new national poll. Friday, July 3, 2020, the 1 p.m. newspaper France 2 has also devoted a subject to this "third round" organized within certain municipal councils. Nathanaël de Rincquesen thus announces the "re-election of Anne Hidalgo in Paris, that of Jean-Luc Moudenc in Toulouse, Johanna Rolland in Nantes and Pierre Hurmic in Bordeaux …". But a small error crept during the diffusion of the faces of these new councilors …

Indeed, the images broadcast at the time of quoting Jean-Luc Moudenc, freshly re-elected in Toulouse, were not those of the mayor LR but those of his opponent, the environmental candidate Antoine Maurice. The latter, accompanied by the running mate on his list Citizen Archipelago, arrives at the town hall under the applause of his supporters. The error could have gone unnoticed, but the channel, via its presenter, hastened to rectify it a few moments later. "Small corrigendum. We spoke a few moments ago of the elections in the municipal councils. And speaking of the re-election of Jean-Luc Moudenc in Toulouse, well we have shown the images of his opponent. There, our apologies to Jean-Luc Moudenc " clarified Nathanaël de Rincquesen.
