Murat Yakin nominated three inexperienced players and thus reacts to the injury misery in his team.

The injury witch challenged Murat Yakin quite a bit. Breel Embolo, Nico Elvedi, Christian Fassnacht and Gregor Kobel all have to pass due to injuries. The players injured themselves during missions for their clubs over the weekend.

The national coach is challenged and now presents his creative substitute solution. He doesn’t offer old hands but young racehorses, none of which have ever been part of the senior national team. The new faces are goalie Philipp Köhn and central defender Bryan Okoh from Champions League participant RB Salzburg and midfielder Kastriot Imeri from Servette. The latter two were called up for the U-21 and are now moving up a notch.
