Un former student of the Parisian University of Assas linked to the ultra-right, Romain Bouvier, was indicted on Friday March 25 for “murder” and imprisoned in the Parisian prison of Health. The man is suspected of having shot former rugby player Federico Martin Aramburu on Saturday March 19. He was also indicted for two offenses related to the possession of weapons.
“On the advice of my lawyer, I wish to exercise my right to silence”, declared the respondent surrounded by three police officers, dressed in a blue striped shirt, a jacket and blue jeans, short hair and thin beard. The judge of freedoms and detention first underlined the “small conviction” in March 2017 of the suspect for “violence”, but also the “judicial control in an ongoing case”.
He must indeed appear in June in Paris, just like the main suspect Loïk Le Priol, whom the Hungarian authorities have handed over to France, for “aggravated violence”. The two men were forbidden to come into contact. The JLD succinctly recalled the first elements of the investigation into this dispute in a bar in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, following which the companion of Loïk Le Priol, indicted on Tuesday, would have “climbed on board” of a Jeep with Romain Bouvier, while the other suspect would have followed the victim who was leaving on foot.

The man wanted to surrender to the police, according to his lawyer
The Jeep came up to him, “and there shots were fired. A minute later, another salvo of shots is fired, which seems to come from the sidewalk where Loïk Le Priol is, ”says the JLD again. The Paris prosecutor had requested the provisional detention of Romain Bouvier, stressing that “the weapons” of the murder, at the origin of a “ten detonations”, “have not yet been found despite the searches” .
Romain Bouvier “fleed after going a priori to his mother, moved to Sablé-sur-Sarthe and was arrested (…) because he used his credit card”, according to her. Mand Antoine Vey, Romain Bouvier’s lawyer with Éléonore Heftler-Louiche, stressed that his client “is presumed innocent”. He wants to “take the time to consult the file” before “answering” later “to questions (…) as to his participation or his absence of participation in certain facts”. His client “had planned to surrender to the authorities, he was just arrested before,” he said.
