The investigation continues after the murder of little Lola, 12 years old. Since Monday, his alleged murderer Dabhia B., a 24-year-old Algerian, has been in pre-trial detention in Fresnes prison. Indicted for murder and aggravated rape, she was placed in solitary confinement to protect her from others and from herself, because her mental health is fragile.

The alleged murderer was examined by doctors
When she arrived, Dabhia B. followed the same medical path as the other prisoners. Before being placed in solitary confinement, the 24-year-old young woman was immediately examined by doctors, specifies Magali Bodon-Bruzel. “In Fresnes, the mission is to screen all those who arrive from freedom. It is a mandatory mission”, she explains.
The fate of the suspect not yet determined
When the head of the psychiatry department at Fresnes prison talks about screening, it is about psychiatric disorders. Obviously, for reasons of medical secrecy, we do not know the result of this first test taken by the suspect. In any case, if a disorder had been detected, the detainee would have been taken care of. If unable to take her treatment herself, she would be isolated elsewhere. “We put them in cells very close to the care station where we have very easy access to the detainees. We can go to see them several times a day, we give them the treatment from hand to hand. Whereas in ordinary detention , the treatment is given to them once a week in a pouch,” she explains.
The fate of the main suspect is not yet fixed. She will again be examined as part of the judicial investigation by a psychiatrist and a psychologist. The investigating judge will decide whether or not he is not criminally responsible.
