Launched in 2013 by the channel France 3, Murders in… is a collection of detective TV films Franco-Belgian, which take place in different French cities and regions in each episode. The 13th episode of season 9, titled Murders in Champagne, is rebroadcast on Saturday March 2 with Samira Lachhab, Stéphane Blancafort and Yaniss Lespert in the main roles.

As usual, a murder will be at the heart of the story and will have to be solved by investigators. In this new episode, the plot begins with a party celebrating the centenary of a house located in Champagne. During this event, Ms. Dupaquier, the owner, is murdered in her own cellars. Very quickly, the investigation is entrusted to Captain Sofia Guerini (Samira Lachhab) and Constable Mathieu Delorme (Yaniss Lespert). During their research, the duo will have to collaborate with Bastien Keller (Stéphane Blancafort), a geologist specialist in the region, to help them in their investigation.

Regarding the filming of this new TV film, it took place from April 19 to May 4, 2022, in Champagne. Indeed, as its name suggests, the plot takes place exclusively in the North-East of France. The sectors of Reims, Châlons-en-Champagne and Épernay were thus the ideal locations for filming the France Télévisions program.

Before the start of filming, an announcement was sent out to find extras and small roles For Murders in Champagne. The production team had organized a casting call to find people who could play “a curator of the champagne museum, a tourist guide, a showroom employee of a country house, an estate director“. Roles assigned exclusively to people from the Grand-Est Region.
