A young musician named Enora was surprised to receive Francis Cabrel’s concert harp as a gift, reports The Parisian. The singer was apparently moved by the story of this 12-year-old girl, passionate about music, who criss-crossed the markets of Lot-et-Garonne to recover a little money in order to afford a beautiful and expensive instrument.
10,000 euros for a concert harp
“She has been playing a Celtic harp for six years but now wants to play a high-priced concert harp. As she knew that we were financially limited for this purchase, she decided to get money herself from the markets, ”said her mother to our colleagues. The harp that the young Enora wanted still cost 10,000 euros: even by managing to recover 3,000 euros via an online pot, she was far from the mark.
This generous donation is therefore timely. Francis Cabrel even went to one of the musician’s concerts, on the Astaffort market, where the star resides. “The fact of seeing it in real life is still great”, explains the young girl to the Parisian.
Enora offered, with the singer’s agreement, not to keep the instrument for herself, but to rent it to those who cannot afford one. The money will be used to fund a kitty to go with fellow musicians to a harp festival in Ireland.
