Every month we present musical innovations and insider tips to you here. This time: RasgaRasga, Virginia Woolfpack, Riopy, AYMZ and Isabella Luna.
RasgaRasga: All the voices
Six musical border crossers, 14 instruments, four languages and a firework of emotions – that’s RasgaRasga. The band is a prizewinner of the Creole NRW World Music Competition, part of the Musikkulturen NRW program and is funded by the Music Initiative. A champion in every respect!
RIOPY: The First Waltz
The pianist is already filling stadiums in France – it shouldn’t take long here. In his music, the Franco-British pianist and composer processes what life has in store for him. His first two albums “RIOPY” (2018) and “Tree of light” (2019) accompanied him on his way through the depression. Commenting on his current third album, RIOPY explains: “Becoming a father changed my life, ‘Bliss’ is a record of happiness.”
Isabella Luna: In the next life
Isabella Luna is a real phenomenon on social media: her videos, in which she combines music, comedy and dance, have been clicked millions of times. Now new, own songs follow: “I still don’t take myself too seriously and people can still look forward to a wink in my music,” she explains. we love
Virginia Woolfpack: My Mistakes
This song, soundtrack of the film “Alle für Ella” by the four-person fictional film band Virginia Woolfpack, is about adventures – and about when they sometimes go wrong. The most important thing: support from the people you love. A powerful, driving song that is also full of hope.
AYMZ: Odyssey
Artists: AYMZ has already had considerable success with radio hits and live shows in front of huge audiences – not only at home in Austria. Now there’s more musical talent: more cross-genre hits, fewer pigeonholes and clichés. Wonderfully versatile!
