Musical Christmas – Contemplative sounds in the Advent season in the castle

Walpersdorf Castle in the St. Pölten district provides for a musical Christmas atmosphere. There the magic of the pre-Christmas period on November 27th is in the air.

The music-loving audience will start Advent with two concerts with the baroque ensemble Daniel Freistetter. With the St. Pölten mezzo-soprano Neelam Brader and soprano Dominique Dethier, a contemplative first Sunday in Advent is guaranteed in the palace chapel with works by Bach and Handel. Violinist Clara-Jumi Kang, shooting star Emmanuel Tjeknavorian and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra present works by Beethoven and Haydn in addition to Schubert’s 5th Symphony. The next day, the “Christmas Witch” will stop by at Schloss Walpersdorf. She will be bringing along music by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and a humorous and equally contemplative music theater for children and adults with the Oper@Tee ensemble.
