Must have frozen to death – walkers found dead

On Tuesday morning, walkers found a woman who had been reported dead in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district (Styria). Third-party debt is excluded.

The daughter of the 68-year-old already reimbursed her mother’s dependency on February 25, 2022 at the police station in Hirtenberg (Lower Austria). Searches for the woman from the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district have so far been negative. Two local walkers found the lifeless body of the 68-year-old around 10:15 a.m. in the Haringgraben (altitude 1045 meters). Police officers from the Kapfenberg Police Inspectorate then went on foot along a heavily snow-covered forest road to the site. The crew of the police helicopter carried out the recovery of the body. An informed district doctor carried out the death inspection in the valley. Based on the results of the investigation, the woman, who was scantily clad and had health problems, froze to death in the snow. The public prosecutor’s office in Leoben released the body for burial.
