(CercleFinance.com) – Mutares SE & Co announces that it has successfully completed the acquisition of Temakinho from Cigierre – Compagnia Generale Ristorazione (‘Cigierre’), owned by funds advised by BC Partners.
The company will strengthen the Retail & Food segment as a new investment platform.
Temakinho is a restaurant chain offering premium Japanese-Brazilian sushi, meat dishes and drinks through 10 directly managed restaurants located in Italy (Milan, Rome, Bologna and Florence) as well as three franchised restaurants in airports Italians (2 in Rome Fiumicino and 1 in Milan Linate) and a franchise in Lyon.
Temakinho employs 160 people and generated a turnover of approx. 20 million euros in 2022.
With Temakinho, Mutares enters an attractive market in the high-end food distribution sector.
