MWC 2022 – Lenovo renews its Tab M10 Plus tablet


A new tablet joins the Lenovo ecosystem. The Tab M10 Plus, third generation of its entry-level tablet, gains in passing a slightly larger screen and a more substantial battery.

Largely marked by announcements in the world of PCs and tablets, this Mobile World Congress welcomes a new model of its kind from Lenovo. The computer specialist, who preferred a virtual presence at the Catalan show, thus unveils the heir to his affordable tablet, the Tab M10 Plus. It is actually the third generation of the device, whose name does not change over the years.

A little larger than its predecessor, the new Tab M10 Plus offers a 10.61-inch IPS screen (2000 x 1200 pixels) included in a 251.2 x 158.8 x 7.45 mm case for 465 grams. The tablet is powered by a MediaTek G80 chip, which replaces the Helio P22T of the M10 FHD Plus, and which Lenovo supplements with 3 to 4 GB of RAM. A second version of the device, this time powered by a Snapdragon 680 with 4 or 6 GB of RAM is compatible with 4G. Also count 32, 64 or 129 GB of storage as well as support for a microSD card. Note also that Lenovo has revised its copy for this third generation, since the 5000 mAh of the previous M10 give way to a battery capacity increased to 7700 mAh, with a charge at 20 W. The tablet is therefore capable of after the mark, to support at least 12 hours of video playback. On the photo side, you have to rely on two 8-megapixel cameras, one on the front and the other on the back.

Who says new generation, also says software upgrade. The Tab M10 Plus will be released under Android 12 in April. It will be marketed from €249, i.e. €50 more than its predecessor when it was launched.
