MWC 2022 – Oppo: Find X5 Pro and a partnership with Hasselblad for the photo part

2

Oppo is planning a conference during the Mobile World Congress, scheduled for the end of this month. The brand will notably present its Find X5 series, which will benefit from a partnership with the photo specialist Hasselblad.

The least we can say is that the schedule for the upcoming Mobile World Congress (February 28 – March 3) promises to be light. Between the manufacturers who will be content with a virtual presence (Sony, Lenovo) and those who, although present, do not yet plan any conference, this edition of the Barcelona telephony high mass promises to be calm. After Honor, which however plans an event on February 28, but also Realme (10:30 a.m.) and Qualcomm (2:30 p.m.), both on the same day, another brand is now completing the list of speakers: Oppo.

Expected for the Find X5 series, including a Find X5 Pro, Oppo is planning a conference on February 28 at 3 p.m. which will be dedicated to “several innovative mobile technologies, which will set new records in this field”. The Chinese brand’s new smartphones will be on the program, as well as elements dedicated to augmented reality: we can therefore hope that the Air Glass glasses presented at Inno Day at the end of 2021 will also be on the menu.

A partnership with Hasselblad

In parallel with its conference, Oppo announces the conclusion of a partnership with Hasselblad. The Swedish has been putting his photo expertise at the service of OnePlus since last year, as part of a current partnership over several years.

Oppo, whose merger with OnePlus was formalized last year, now benefits from a similar three-year partnership. It concerns to begin with “software enhancements for natural color calibration”, which Oppo confirms integrated into its “next generation of Find X flagships”, or the Find X5 Pro. The smartphone, stamped Hasselblad, should therefore also integrate the MariSilicon X chip, developed in-house and dedicated to image processing.
