On the sidelines of MWC 2022 in Barcelona, Lenovo unveiled several professional and consumer PCs and tablets, including the Chromebook Ideapad Duet 3, a Chromecast-type laptop at a floor price of €349.

The first IdeaPad Duet of the name seduced us for its excellent quality-price ratio and here comes the third iteration of this small computer/tablet that runs under Chromes OS. Announced at MWC Barcelona along with many other Lenovo products such as the ThinPad X13s, which features an unprecedented Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor, the IdeaPad Duet 3 promises mobile office and multimedia use, without frills.

A compact and practical computer

Its 11-inch touch screen, detachable keyboard and low weight (516 g) give it good versatility, but note that the stylus is sold separately. Chrome OS is ultimately very easy to learn and it allows you to use office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) or watch video content without any problem. It also gives access to the entire catalog of Android applications, greatly extending the possibilities of the computer.

This 3rd version features a Snapdragon 7c gen 2 processor as well as a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of eMMC storage. The 8MP front and rear cameras should also deliver good image quality for video calls.

If this hybrid computer is of course not intended for demanding users, it can be quite suitable for those who need simple functionality and a practical and compact device, spending only a few hundred euros. Available in two colors (gray and blue) from May for a base price of €349, we will not fail to test the IdeaPad Duet 3 as soon as possible to identify its qualities and defects.
