The MWC in Barcelona is mainly used to present smartphones, but as a side effect, it happens that certain brands specializing in other types of products present their new products there.

MagicBook Pro 16 2024

This is how Honor unveiled the MagicBook Pro 16, its first AI PC, meaning that it is powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor equipped with an NPU (Neural Processing ) capable of performing tasks related to artificial intelligence.

The MagicBook 16 Pro is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H (16C/22T) processor and is accompanied by a dedicated graphics card, the GeForce RTX 4060 from Nvidia. The RAM should reach at least 16 GB, since this is the minimum quantity necessary to claim the Intel Arc designation for the graphics part of the processor.

The connection remains conventional with two ThunderBolt 4 ports, two USB ports and an HDMI port; However, Honor has not focused on the onboard wifi standard.

The 16-inch screen is equipped with an IPS panel displaying 3072 x 1920 px, i.e. a 16:10 ratio. The refresh rate is announced at 165 Hz and the delta E would be less than 0.5. This suggests a faithful panel, which we will not fail to verify during the test.

The audio part is not left out, with six speakers: two tweeters and two woofers allow Honor to qualify its MagicBook 16 Pro as the first Windows PC equipped with audio-spatial.

Honor took advantage of this IT interlude in the middle of a keynote dedicated to mobility to discuss the possibility of finding ARM versions of its laptops in the future, in addition to the x86 versions that we know today.

The Chinese manufacturer therefore does not exclude the possibility of marketing two versions of the same model, like Microsoft with its Surface Pro, one in Intel, the second equipped with a Qualcomm chip.

The Magic Book Pro 16 will be available in two colors, white and purple, first in China, then in the second quarter in Europe.
