My child’s class is closing, am I entitled to a work stoppage?

This Thursday, September 2 is the back to school 2021-2022. A moment expected for some but feared by others. Indeed, for more than 18 months, the health crisis continues to surprise the French. While the previous year (2020-2021), for most of the school year, teaching in attendance was possible thanks to the implementation of a strict protocol. For this new year things are changing. The government provides for 4 protocols that may change depending on the situation.
The start of the school year will start in yellow (level 2), in other words, face-to-face reception, compulsory mask and closure of a class as soon as the first case of coronavirus appears in schools.

The government has, however, announced that in middle and high school, if a case is declared in a classroom, students who have been vaccinated and tested negative will be able to continue attending their classes while their unvaccinated classmates will have to stay home for 7 days. days.

Under these conditions, it is sometimes essential to keep your child at home. But be careful, the work stoppage to keep your child sick, or case-contact, is not automatic.
