We all have a city where we simply feel at home in terms of fashion. For intern Anna, it’s definitely Nice. That inspires her about the style of the French women.

Looking at the mountains of the French Riviera, enjoying the sunset over the clear blue sea with a glass of wine in the evening… I’ve lost my heart to the Cote d’Azur since my vacation last summer. Also the unique style of the city I like Nice. I’ll tell you here how the elegant holiday feeling is reflected in fashion – maybe you’ll soon say “oui” to the Nice style!

My city my style: tres chic meets laissez faire

Especially in summer you can often find me in a dress. The feminine and yet relaxed style in Nice perfectly reflects my feel-good fashion. When it comes to dresses, the women of the Cote d’Azur rely primarily on flowing cuts and light fabrics. Linen, silk and cotton are particularly popular here. It does not necessarily have to be figure-hugging, the elegance of fashion lies above all in the subtle. This is particularly useful in midsummer, when temperatures tend to climb above 30 degrees. So you not only look good on particularly hot days, you also feel good.

The little black dress turns white

The summer feeling can also be found in the colours: in Nice, the little black dress is left in the closet and exchanged for light natural tones. With warm white or champagne tones you are definitely on the safe side and can enjoy the sun in style. If it cools down a bit in the evening, you can combine an airy summer dress with a casual, oversized jacket.

Bonjour, chipmunks!

Striped patterns are a timeless classic that should not be missing in the casual fashion of Nice. Whether on dresses, tops or casual pants – at the Rivera, people like to adapt to the dreamy sea backdrop in terms of fashion. Color accents are also played with here. The look is rounded off with large sunglasses and a beach bag and shows the combination of casual and elegant that is typical for Nice.

The main thing is comfortable

Nice is best explored on foot, so you can take in the beauty of the city and the special atmosphere. For me, as an enthusiastic walker, this fits perfectly. It is important to leave your heels at home and wear comfortable shoes. Unfortunately, high heels and cobblestones don’t get along very well. Nevertheless, you don’t have to forfeit style here, with chic sandals or espadrilles nothing stands in the way of a sightseeing tour and the holiday photos will also be a complete success.
