In “My Date, My Best Friend & I”, candidates help their best friends in their search for great love.

The summer brings numerous dating shows: With “My date, my best friend & I”, a new dome concept is starting on Sat.1.
In addition to “Die Bachelorette” (July 14th) or “Are You The One – Realitystars in Love” (July 8th) fans of dating shows will see another format this summer. In “My Date, My Best Friend & I”, single women look for their dream man – with the help of their gay best friends. The program starts on July 5th at 8:15 p.m. on Sat.1 and is always broadcast on Mondays. According to the broadcaster, five episodes are planned.
In order to find the dream man for the single women, eight friendship duos move into a villa in Tenerife. While the women get to know potential partners there, strategy is also required. Because in every program, a team is selected from the other participants. At the end of the day, the winner may be happy about her great love – her best friend about a prize of 50,000 euros.
Familiar faces among the candidates
Incidentally, some candidates of the format are already familiar with dating shows. One of the single women is Chethrin Schulze (29), who became known for her participation in “Love Island” in 2017 and was seen in “Celebrity Big Brother” the following year. Single-man Keno Rüst is no stranger either. He captured the heart of “Bachelorette” Gerda Lewis (28) in 2019, but the relationship soon broke up. Other candidates like Michael and Michi Bauer have also tried their luck in dating formats.
